This 1989 Jaguar XJS has been with the seller since 2001 and is finished in red with a black soft top over tan leather. Its 5.3-liter V12 is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission, and recent service reportedly included an oil change in June 2019. Equipment includes automatic climate control, heated power side mirrors, fog lamps, a trip computer, and an aftermarket CD head unit. Now showing just under 31k miles, this XJS is offered with factory literature, service records, a spare tire and jack, a boot cover, the removed factory radio, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in red with dual coach stripes and features rubber-capped chrome bumpers, an electrically operated cloth top, power-adjustable heated mirrors, and halogen fog lamps. The seller notes the presence of chips in the paint.
Factory 15″ lattice wheels are shod in a set of Pirelli P600 tires, and a spare is housed in the trunk. A built-in battery charger is equipped and can be connected to household current through a cord hidden under the rear bumper.
The heated, power-adjustable seats are upholstered in tan leather with matching door panels and console along with a contrasting dash pad and carpeting. Burl wood accents the dashboard, doors, and center console. Automatic climate control, cruise control, and a trip computer are equipped, and an Alpine CD head unit occupies the factory radio position in the center stack.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. The six-digit odometer shows just under 31k miles, of which the seller reports adding approximately 10k.
The 5.3L V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower with 290 lb-ft of torque and is linked to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller had the oil changed in June 2019. The car passed California smog testing most recently in September 2017, and a summary of its passing test results between 2003 and 2017.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other issues along with registration history in Arizona and California from 1992 to 2017.
