This 1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 convertible was purchased new by Apple Computer, Inc. as a company car for the seller, a former Apple executive, and now shows 29k miles. The car is finished in Dorchester Gray over black leather upholstery and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a black soft top, 15″ cross-spoke wheels, heated power-adjustable seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. In 2022 the fuel and air conditioning systems were refreshed and the braking components and soft top hydraulics were replaced. This XJ-S V12 convertible is now offered in California with the owner’s manual, Apple Computer, Inc. documents, service records, a repair manual, a clean Carfax report, and a Maine registration in the seller’s name.

Exterior features include a black soft top, quad headlights, front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The soft top hydraulics were replaced in 2022. A tear is visible in the soft top, the right door is scratched, a ding is evident on the left door, and the right rear window is stuck in the up position.

The 15″ cross-spoke wheels are mounted with 225/60 Pirelli P6 tires that show 2003 date codes. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock discs, and the braking components were replaced in 2022. The finish on the wheels is peeling.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable seats upholstered in black leather along with burl wood veneer accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior amenities include an anti-theft cassette stereo, a driver-side airbag, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The headliner is stained and sagging, wear is visible on the driver’s seat bolster, and cracks and fading are evident in the wood veneer trim.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 29k miles, all of which were added by the seller. The trip computer is said to have been refurbished in 2022.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. In 2022 the fuel and air conditioning systems were refreshed and a replacement fuel tank was installed. The hood struts are due for replacement.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.

Factory literature, a battery tender, spare keys, Apple Computer, Inc. documents, and a service manual are included in the sale.
