This 1989 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in blue over gray leather and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was delivered new to Wilde Jaguar of Greenfield, Wisconsin and remained with the original owner until 2014 when it was acquired by the seller from a dealer acting on behalf of the first owner’s estate. Equipment includes a power-retractable blue soft top, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, front fog lights, aftermarket LED lighting, heated and power-adjustable seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a factory cassette stereo. This XJS shows 43k miles and is offered at no reserve with a top boot, manufacturer’s literature, service records from 1990 onward, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Solent Blue Metallic (JFJ) and features front fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, and a power-retractable blue soft top that can be viewed raised and lowered. Aftermarket LED lighting replacements are present for the brake, turn, and running lights. The convertible top’s headliner was replaced in November 2020, and a top boot is included in the sale. Rust is visible in the right rear of the trunk near the taillight and the weatherstripping.

The 15″ basketweave wheels are wrapped in 205/65 Kelly Springfield Charger tires that show date codes from 1997. Power-assisted anti-lock disc brakes are fitted at each corner. The right upper and lower ball joints, shock absorbers, and left tie rod end were replaced in June 2017 at 42k miles.

The cockpit features heated and power-adjustable seats trimmed in Savile Grey leather, which extends to the door panels and center console, and burl walnut veneers accent the dash, console, and doors. Amenities include aftermarket dash and accessory LED lighting, cruise control, automatic climate control, a trip computer, and a factory cassette stereo. Worn seat welting on the driver’s seat was replaced in November 2020, and the horn is noted to be disconnected due to a wiring issue.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer along with gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The odometer shows 43k miles, of which approximately 2k have been added by the seller.

The fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was carried out in September 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a GM TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Additional images of the underside are available in the gallery below.
