I found this is a Pick-A-Part wrecking yard (self-serve). I was tucked in with about 25 other cars for sale as-is with a "salvage" title. It did not have keys and appeared to be either abandoned or donated. It was in outstanding original condition with about 5 months worth of dust/dirt on it. I appears to have always been garaged and well cared for. It now has a salvage title, but is in outstanding, original condition. I will bring it to the XKs Unlimited Open House this Fall in San Luis Obispo, California.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
