Ebay item 9/27/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1989-Jaguar-XJS/333340258175
Current bid: $6,100 reserve not met 12 bids 3 days left in auction buy it now price $13,999, seller mmcinnes, 32k miles. Pasadena, Michigan.
Seller's description:
Stunning 1989 XJS convertible in Solent Blue Metallic with Iris Blue interior and original matching blue top. This car has only 32,046 original miles and has over $13,000 in recent work. It is a nearly perfect car that could win local shows. It turns heads everywhere it goes.
The paint is like new with fantastic luster and depth. The top is perfect. Nearly everything on the car is perfect, other than the radio. The engine is 12c 5.3L and runs perfect. This is like driving a new car.
The only things wrong: there is one very small ding on the passenger door, but it is not easily noticed. The radio is original. It works but has a tape stuck in it which needs to be fished out. The car needs a new door key.
Less than 1500 miles ago, the following was done at a cost of over $13,000 by an expert shop specializing in antique Jaguars:
--replaced rear brakes, calipers and ABS assembly
--replaced front brakes, discs, hoses
--replaced front shocks
--replaced control arms, ball joints, sway bar
--repaired coolant system
--serviced transmission
--replaced rear engine mount
--adjusted idle and throttle bodies
--alignment
--replaced belt set
--new fuel filter
--new wiper blades
--repair window not closing correctly
--converted AC system to R134A
--replaced radio wiring
--replaced center console wood
--new battery

This 1989 Jaguar XJS convertible is finished in blue over blue leather and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-retractable blue soft top, fog lights, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, heated and power-adjustable seats, cruise control, a trip computer, automatic climate control, and a cassette stereo. The car was reportedly first delivered to Georgia, and it resided in Ontario, Canada from 1989 until the early-2000s before returning to the US and spending time in Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and Maryland prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2019. This XJS shows 32k miles and is now offered with service records, manufacturer’s literature, a convertible top boot, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The car is finished in Solent Blue Metallic (JFJ) and features European-market headlamps, front fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, and a power-retractable blue soft top.
Silver 15″ basketweave wheels are wrapped in 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Equipment includes independent front and rear suspension as well as four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The front brake rotors, pads, and hoses were replaced in 2016 along with the rear brake pads, upper control arm bushings, upper ball joints, and sway bar links.
The cockpit is trimmed in Isis Blue leather, which extends from the seats to the door panels and center console, while burl walnut veneers accent the dashboard, center console, and doors. Amenities include automatic climate control, heated and power-adjustable seats, cruise control, a trip computer, and a Jaguar cassette stereo.
The wood-rimmed Momo steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and drum-style secondary gauges for voltage, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The odometer shows 32k miles, of which approximately 250 have been added by the seller. A mileage inconsistency is noted on the Carfax report in 2003. True mileage is unknown.
The fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a GM TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. The transmission cooler hoses were replaced at approximately 30k miles in 2016.
