This 1987 Jaguar XJ-SC V12 is a Canadian-market example that has remained registered in the seller’s family since new, and it was relocated to the US circa 2018. Powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in Nimbus White over blue leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, removable roof panels, European-specification headlights, 15″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. This XJ-SC V12 shows 64k kilometers (~39k miles) and is now offered with owner’s manuals, top storage bags, two sets of keys, recent service records, a clean Carfax report, and a Washington title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Nimbus White (NDJ) and is equipped with a blue top that features dual panels up top along with a removable panel aft of the roll bar. Additional features include European-specification headlights with wipers as well as front fog lights, chrome mirror caps, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. Photos of paint chips are viewable in the gallery below.
The 15″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 235/60 Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires that are said to have been installed in 2023. The front and rear brake rotors and pads were replaced along with the parking brake pads in 2018, and the seller notes that replacement front and rear shock absorbers were fitted in April 2023.
The bucket seats are upholstered in blue leather, and burl wood veneer accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The air conditioning does not blow cold, and there is a tear in the driver’s door seal.
A two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 260-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 64k kilometers (~39k miles), approximately 39k kilometers (~25k miles) of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The water pump, accessory drive belts, and assorted coolant hoses were replaced in 2018, and work in 2023 consisted of cleaning and servicing the fuel injectors as well as replacing the distributor cap and rotor, ignition wires, spark plugs, assorted fuel hoses, valve cover gaskets, and two of the intake gaskets. A leak is noted from the oil pan gasket.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission was serviced in February 2022.
