This particular grand tourer was owned by one of the largest car collections in the country, used in the movie industry. This was one of over 3,000 vehicles purchased and stored used in the movie industry, TV and commercials. This XJ-S was stored in a large complex of warehouses in New Jersey for about 10 years. When the Olympics came to Atlanta in 1996, is was temporarily donated to the executive board for personal use during the Olympics. Afterwards, this cat went back to her storage facility in New Jersey. In early 2013, I purchased this vehicle, along with 8 other Jaguars from the owners of the company in New Jersey. (I have pictures of this) The only time this vehicle ever saw the sun was on the transport to my garage, were it has been since. Over the years, I have restored her to the original glory. I admit, I was caught in the rain, once!

This year, I replaced the gas tank, gas pump and transmitter, all gas lines, rebuilt all the fuel injectors, synthetic oil change, front brake rotors and pads, new bonnet struts, more. The paint on this is glass smooth without any retouches. All original with some scratches and wear. The only thing left is to replace the wood trim on the interior center consol. The other wood trim could be replaced but I like the aged look. (This is normal for the age of this vehicle) I did replace the steering wheel with all wood, extremely beautiful and fits the beauty of this cat (see picture). The wheels were changed to the newer XJ-S (1990). I like them better.

The undercarriage is clean with very little surface rust. It was undercoated and is still visable. This cat purrrrssss. Has the power it originally had when new. The leather seats are in very good condition for the age. No cracks or splits. Minor discoloration in a small area (see pics). The trunk is perfect with all original carpeting, no rust anywhere and the original (new) Pirelli tire and wheel as the spare. No rust anywhere in the engine compartment, bonnet, doors or any body panels. This vehicle has not been in the elements ever, except for a short time during the Olympics and on the set of movies, AND it shows. This is NOT a concourse vehicle. It could easily be made into one. I like driving it and therefore has the usual wear in spite of its age.

I have too many cats in my stable (12) and this one has been a favorite of mine but needs to go to make room for my newer cats. You will also notice the emblem on the bonnet has been changed to the original leeper. If you want to place the original emblem back, I have it. Sometime during 1996, the radio was replaced. I have the original. If you are serious about owning a real gem from a car company with a great history of design and performance, this vehicle may be right for you. Come see it for yourself and you will likely see and feel the same attraction to this fine specimen.

The exterior color is deep blue. The interior is Jaguar camel leather. I priced this vehicle below other listings and above the normal auto trader book price because of the condition.
