This 1989 Jaguar XJ-S coupe is finished in red over tan leather and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes chrome alloy wheels, fog lights, automatic climate control, heated seats, and a factory cassette stereo. The seller purchased the car in 2013, reportedly from the son of the first owner. The air-conditioning system has been converted to use R134a refrigerant, and the front shock absorbers were replaced in 2018. Now showing 31k miles, this XJ-S is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Signal Red (CFC) and features full-length dual pinstripes, chrome bumpers, heated chrome mirrors, fog lights, a powered antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes blemishes on the hood and trunk that are not visible in the gallery images below.

Factory 15″ basketweave alloy wheels have been chrome-plated and wear 235/60 Pirelli P600 tires. The car is equipped with fully independent suspension and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. The chrome is peeling on some of the wheels, and the seller states that a knock can be heard from the left rear of the car when driven over bumps.

The cabin is upholstered in Barley leather (AFW) with matching carpeting and burl walnut trim on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, a factory 80-watt AM/FM/cassette stereo, heated front seats with lumbar adjustment, a trip computer, cruise control, and power windows.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and an electronic tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 7k of which were added by the seller.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque and features Lucas fuel injection. The air-conditioning system has been converted to R134a refrigerant, and the seller states that the compressor, dryer, and expansion valve were replaced during current ownership.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a GM-sourced three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. .
