On Craigslist USA on October 01, 2014. Asking USD $ 7,950. Has 119,783 miles.
1988 Jaguar XJ-SC, Rare Collector Car, 12-cylinder w/ 5-Spd Manual Transmission. VERY RARE, 1988 Jaguar XJ-SC V-12, 2-door luxury sports car. Silver exterior, Blue interior. Vehicle Identification Number: SAJNA3849JC145454. License Plate: FIVESPD. Title: Clean California Title. This rare, sought-after Collectible (not many Cabriolets were made from '83-'87) is being sold by a Marin County car collector. It has the stock, 12-cylinder motor, but was custom-fitted with a 5-spd manual transmission. The transmission's bell housing was ordered from England and made specifically to fit the Jaguar's 12-cylinder motor. The transmission is currently out of the car. It was removed to replace the transmission mounts (and the seals) and this job was not completed. But the transmission WAS in the car, and the car was running perfectly, not to mention FAST as heck as you might imagine. Included with the sale is the original Automatic transmission, as well as some other extra parts like original wheels, etc. It's a 1988 model year, manufacture date of October of 1987. The Jaguar XJ-SC came in only one flavor: fully loaded. If you've never had the opportunity to drive a V-12-powered car, you should...the torque felt as you step on the gas is incredible, and even more convincing is the legendary turbine-like smoothness of this incredible engine. And even if you have driven a 12-cylinder car, it most likely wasn't a 5-speed! Besides the 5-speed manual transmission, the car is original and shouldn't require much work to bring it up to good or great condition from the fair condition it's in now. It comes with the racing wheels that are currently on it now, as well as the original stock wheels. Please text or email with any questions...and come take a look! $7,950 or Best Offer (A lot of money was spent getting this car mechanically perfect).
