One of the previous owners had painted the car Bordeaux Red and put it on too thin. Can still see sweep trails from the gun in spots if you look close enough. Body is sold with absolutely no rust, garage kept. All wires to HVAC box micro processors had been cut and many removed requiring complete replacement of the heater box. Aftermarket stereo installed.

    UPDATE:

The entire Delanair Mark III HVAC system has been replaced thanks to David Boger at everydayxj.com and a friend in Florida. The complete central unit, both motors and wiring have been repaired although the Baby Grand computer is still faulty.

The windshield seal, shock absorbers and wiper motor have now been replaced.

    Ebay item 9/9/17

    www.ebay.com/itm/1988-Jaguar-Other-/172858360244

Car has a buy it now price of $4,000 for 6 days, seller shaneclara2004, 74k miles.

    Sellers description:

Genuine Cabriolet 1988 with 5.3 V-12. GM TH-400 Transmission needs rebuilt or replaced. Within the last four years new parts include the Radiator, SLX grade engine wiring, ALL fuel lines, rotors, pads and calipers, 160 amp alternator relocated to the A/C location, fuel pump and more. Just can't remember them all. The car starts right up, replaced the engine two years ago. I have a 1995 convertible I'm focusing on and being a trucker I don't have the kind of time the car requires and the Wife wants a Land Rover (hint). I have many new and used parts to go with it. I do not have the rear soft top only the hard top. We are looking for a Land Rover or antique truck if money is tight. Doesn't have to be perfect. I Have over 7K invested so I'm not going to five it away, I'll part it out first.

    Car returns to ebay 9/17/17

Car has a buy it now price of $3,000 for 6 days, same seller.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
