One of the most desirable XJS's produced was the V12, 6.0 XJRS, which were affectionately known as "Tarmac Rippers" to Jaguar test drivers. These superb cars were equipped with the later spec, ultra smooth, 6.0 litre V12 engine, Jaguar-Sport alloys, uprated suspension and sports interior.
J800 JAC was originally supplied new by Meads of Bolton. The car is believed to be one of circa 150 facelift 6.0 litre V12 TWR Motorsport cars with the later rear end, with a reputed 330bhp. It features uprated gearbox, Zytec engine management, wider rear wheels, uprated suspension, and bodykit.
History with the car includes five MOTs including the current one which shows that the car has covered just over 7,000 miles in just under four years and the original number plates are included with the car. Meads supplied a replacement service book with seven service stamps up to 77,800 miles. There are also some loose invoices, showing an oil and filter change as well as new water pump, viscous fan coupling and fan blades. MOTd until January 2012, the vendor states that 'the vehicle fires up first time and idles perfectly, oil pressure is maintained at 3/4 whilst cold and also when hot and the gearbox is fine and changes smoothly.'
Guide Price: £5000 to £6000
Sold £5200 + Premium
