Ebay item 11/20/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJS-/161892243447
Opening bid US $8,000 reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction. Seller blackhorsegarage, 11k miles.

Sellers description:
1979 Jaguar XJ12

There's three words that can accurately describe this beautiful XJS... power, smoothness and finesse.

This car is powered by a huge V12 5.3 L power plant which could keep up with the Lamborghini's and Ferrari's of its time. Too bad it was launched at the same time the United States was going through a fuel crisis!

There's just something about a Jaguar that represents the definition of smoothness whether you're talking about the way the car rides, shifts or accelerates. A good analogy would be Joe Namath and his dating life in the early 70's.

If you really take the time to look and appreciate all the fine trim pieces on both the exterior and interior, you'll notice how much thought, detail and care was taken when designing the dash layout, gearshift lever, steering wheel, window buttons, etc. and each have a great feel in your hands too.

Finesse is represented in tying it all together to produce one amazing car. It's going to be hard to find a complete package such as two owner car with very low mileage, only recording 11,563 total miles. All service maintenance has been performed and always kept in the garage. Non-smoker and extremely clean throughout.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
