Car to be at auction 7/15
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 153 - 1991 Jaguar XJS Convertible - 15,000 miles from new
Estimate: £16,000 - £20,000
Registration Number: L751 WEW
Chassis Number: SAJJNJDW3EP180996

This fabulous low mileage XJS left the factory in August 1991, being exported to Japan and the custodianship of Jaguar cars in Tokyo. During its time in Japan it was serviced five times by Jaguar, and then twice by independent specialists. The current owner flew to Japan personally to purchase the XJS at 15,191 miles. All service invoices are present and the vendor has had them professionally translated to English.

The level of detail on this low mileage XJS is very impressive. The car retains the original coach lines along the bodywork. The engine bay metal work is untarnished. The original owner's manual is present, as are the tool case, the jack and the soft top cover. Looking around the car you will also find original Jaguar stickers on the rear and side windows.

Magnificent in the rare colour combination of Meteor red with barley leather, the paintwork is beautiful, with a very deep shine. The interior is equally as impressive, belying its age. These XJS's are now being recognised by collectors, with low mileage cars increasing in value.

Supplied with a UK V5 and current MoT, this is a truly investment grade example of this classic tourer.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
