Opening bid $55,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $75,000. 64k miles. Now said to be in Palmetto, Florida.

    Sellers description:
84 XJ-S Lynx Spyder is for a Jaguar collector who desires a classic that will accommodate children or pets. It is structurally in excellent condition and has been fully restored to make it the most beautiful car on the road!!

    HISTORY:
This car #43 is one of about 72 and was imported by Leonard Allenstein (Home of Imports) Los Angeles, California in 1985. The conversion cost was $10,300 plus the new car. The car is a European model, legally modified to North American standards by Lynx. The maintenance records show its principal operation to be in Ventura, Ca. I bought this car from a collector in Washington, who purchased it in 2007 from a collector in California.

    DESCRIPTION:
This Jaguar is a find, as the body as not been modified (post Lynx). Since I purchased this vehicle in 2010, I have restored the car to beautification including customization of the interior and exterior, including new seats, new carpet, new convertible top. To the best of my knowledge this car does not require any major mechanical repairs.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
