To celebrate Jaguar’s overall victory at the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans with the incredible XJR-9, Jaguar produced a limited run of special edition “Le Mans” XJS V-12 coupes. Totaling to just 65 examples, each car was finished in Jaguar Racing Green over a Beige interior with green piping and fitted with 15-inch gold BBS wheels. Other features include a body-length pinstripe in gold, a gold bonnet emblem and a serialized interior plaque, proclaiming that the car offered here is the 27th example built. Presently showing just under 111,500 km on its odometer, the car presents in well-preserved and original condition. It is accompanied by a French-language owner’s manual, toolkit, and a spare BBS wheel in the boot.
Delivered new to France, this XJS was exported to Spain in 2004 and acquired by the consignor in 2017. In his ownership, he’s refurbished the radiator and cooling system, serviced the car and fitted new liquids and filters, and fitted new Pirelli tyres. Presenting in a charming and quintessentially English colour scheme and produced as a special-edition model, this XJS presents well and would surely be an exciting addition to any collection for an individual looking to experience the thrills of V-12 motoring.
