The car on offer was delivered new on July 29, 1988, in Toulouse, as confirmed by its service booklet. It then changed hands in 1993 before being purchased in 1996 by its current owner, with just over 32,000 km from origin. The latter, a true esthete, had been seduced by the purity of its design, matched with a combination of colors of rare elegance. Indeed, this sky blue, enhanced with a double red and white mesh, blends perfectly with the black leather upholstery that adorns the luxurious interior. Since 1996, the mileage recorded from various technical inspections attests to regular use, with the car currently totaling less than 72,000 km. The maintenance book and invoices bear witness to a maintenance carried out by specialists, with the last having taken place at SPR Jaguar in September 2021. Our test showed a car with sound handling, efficient braking and very pleasant to drive. The body has been repainted earlier and is in sound condition, with well-aligned panels. The Pirelli P600 tires were replaced at the front in 2014 and are in near-new condition, while the rear ones are from 2006 and are little worn. A true 4-seater GT, this XJS can be enjoyed both in contemplation and in use.
