Seller's description:
1990 Jaguar XJS V12 H.E Coupe
Solent Blue - 89000 Miles
4 Owners/ Impressive History
Wonderful Original Condition
First registered 09.11.1990 by Minden Jaguar in Bury St Edmonds Suffolk. This one of the later pre facelifted V12 cars and arguably all the better for it, given they are thinning out in numbers rapidly. Specified in the conservative combination of Solent Blue, cream biscuit leather and Walnut veneer fascia.
This lovely old V12 has had only 4 previous owners, the first owner 11.90-11.93, the second, 11.93 - 12.11, the third 12.11 to 08.20 and the most recent up until of late. The third barely used the car at all as it formed part of a collection of other vehicles, it retains quite a modest mileage given its thirty- five years. The most recent owner was a friend of the third, due to failing health he purchased the car in 2020 and spent a decent amount of money on her, though again used very little. I have just renewed the MOT which is current to January 2026.
Originality
The car has worn the same number its entire life, no number changes. Retains her supplied dealer plates and incredibly even the Minden Jaguar rear window decal. All the glass is factory and etched with same number. All panels are factory fitted and it’s never been recorded in any accident with no other adverse history in her past. Climbing aboard, it’s obvious it’s been dry stored, the leather has never had any repairs or dying, equally all the wood is in great order, note the standard factory fitted stereo. The carpets are bone dry with no evidence of damp. The headlining has been properly replaced recently and looks superb. There are no annoying alarms or security devices, key in, go. On that front, nice to see four Jag keys incredibly still adorning the original Minden Jag leather key fobs. The book pack is present with all the original hard plastic cards, driver manuals, handbooks and a service book detailing a 14-stamp service record.
All five tyres are the correct Pirellis with the full-size spare. All tools are complete in carpet bag with the first aid kit in attendance. In short, the whole kit & kaboodle, anyone would struggle to find another more complete honest and wholly complete example. Upon test all electrics work, windows, mirrors, heaters etc, as does the electric aerial, all dash bulbs, interior lights, even the boot light. The Hella front fog lamps still wear the Jaguar branded lens covers.
Condition
As mentioned, a significant sum has been spent of late (within the last few hundred miles). As well as the MOT, all fluids have been changed, and fresh filters, fuel filter also. All spark plugs have been replaced and I replaced the battery just last week. Looking
underside its very tidy, with new shock absorbers and springs fitted to the rear and new track rod ends at the front. The interior is extremely well preserved, an area where most of these drop the ball. Al glass, plastics, carpets, leathers and wood are in remarkable
order, with only some light chaffing to the leading edge bolster of drivers seat back. All lights & lenses sparkle, and the chrome is very good indeed with next to no lifting.
