V12 Coupe in a striking colour combination; restored and repainted in 2017; from 11-year ownership
Dating from 1984, this Jaguar XJS V12 Coupe is finished in a striking shade of green and sits on its original 15” five-spoke convex alloy wheels with twin US-style headlights.
Under the bonnet, we find the familiar 5.3-litre V12 engine delivering 272bhp to the rear wheels via three-speed automatic transmission. Inside, we find beige leather/vinyl trim with wood veneer, electric windows, cruise control, trip computer, original Clarion Jaguar ETR sound system and heated rear screen.
The car shows approx 115,000 miles and presents well having been the subject of substantial restorative works in 2017. The vendor tells us that works not specifically detailed on the restoration invoices included new shocks, battery plates and repairs to the NS front sill, NSF wing, OSF wing, NSR wing, both door skins, the boot and also bonnet followed by a full repaint. The interior remains largely original and in good order although the recently installed head-lining has begun to sag.
The history file includes the V5C recording 10 former keepers to our vendor who has enjoyed the car for the last 11 years, three old MOTs, the last one expiring in June 2024 recording seven minor advisories. More recent invoices include a lube service and rear brake pad set in June 2022, a £1,436 spend in August 2020 on welding works to the subframe, suspension bush renewal, fitment of new alternator, a ball joint and service.
A presentable V12 example that’s crying out for some regular use with a new owner.
