Auction description:
1991 Jaguar XJS 4.0lt
Lot 108
First Registered: 1991 Registration No: J 525 OPD
Mileage: 69,000
Chassis No: SAJJNAED3EK181207
MOT: April 2016
Colour: Blue

The XJS 4.0 offered here, finished in Blue with oatmeal leather interior, is said by the vendor, to be in a good overall condition. The car has had 4 Previous owners, and is believed to be in original condition, and obviously showing signs of age. When last on the ramp for MOT the underneath was found to be in good condition with no evidence of rust in the expected areas,( sills, seatbelt mounting points). The front subframe, a weakness on this model was also found to be sound. The car is said to have Full Service History.

Purchased in April 2014 with view to returning it to showroom condition while still having the pleasure of driving it. However those plans have been foiled by the onset of Parkinson's which has forced a change of plans and hence it is up for sale.

Guide Price: £2,500 to £4,000
Sold Lot 108 £3,850.00

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
