The vendor acquired this 4.0-litre Jaguar XJ-S in January 2022 with the intention of restoring it. The car was subsequently stripped, its suspension rebuilt, rust removed and the engine rebuilt. It was then repainted and reupholstered. The air conditioning unit has been removed as a replacement has been difficult to source and the car also requires a new boot lock; the central locking is also inoperative. However, with a new Ford Mustang project to work on, the vendor has decided to pass the Jaguar onto somebody with more time to drive and enjoy it. Recent work has included a new starter motor, exhaust, battery and gearbox inhibitor switch.

The car was registered in October 1991 and has an MoT through to February 2026. Its odometer shows 161,737 miles. It is reported as running and driving well with no issues. Paperwork includes the V5C, MoT certificates and invoices for the restoration work.
