Looking particularly stunning in Turquoise Metallic, this particular XJS Celebration was first registered in June 1995 and was a demonstrator at the Caffyns dealership for the first six months of its life. The first private owner acquired it in January 1996 and was to keep it right up until 2008. The current vendor acquired it in August 2008 and promptly dispatched it to HA Fox where it was gone through from stem to stern and any minor niggles attended to.
The car now has some 77,000 miles on the clock and has been impeccably maintained from new with seven service stamps to date, the first six at Guy Salmon Jaguar. In addition, the owner carried out an oil service about 2,000 miles ago. The car is in excellent condition and is said to drive beautifully and to be capable of 32mpg on a run. It also benefits from uprated front brake discs and pads.
Everything is said to work as it should, including the air conditioning, cruise control, trip computer and remote central locking. It comes with all its original handbooks, two sets of keys, many old tax discs and MOTs back to 1998 and a copy of the 1996 purchase invoice when it cost £30,600. Currently MOTd and taxed, it is ready for its lucky new owner to enjoy right away. It is only being sold because the owner would now like a convertible Celebration instead. The icing on the cake is a rather nice XJS number plate...
