Car was at auction 9/11
classiccars.brightwells.com/viewdetails.php

Auction description:
Lot number 59
Hammer value £3,500
Description Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible
Registration F974 DMS
Year 1989
Colour Blue
Engine size 5,343 cc
Chassis No. SAJJNADW3DB158282
Engine No. 8S065249SB

The hand book and service book show that this XJS spent the first 8 years of its life in the Sount East, during which time it covered some 50,000 miles. Recent invoices show that it has had an oil change, new steering rack bushes and brake pads, the vendor reporting that it has spent some time off the road over the last few years. Currently MOTd and taxed until January 2012, this convertible V12 can be driven away from the sale and looks like a huge amount of car for the suggested guide price.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
