www.barons-auctions.com/details.php

Auction description:
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model XJS V12 Convertible
First Registered 1988
Registration No E226HFG
Engine No 8S058560HA
Chassis No SAJJNADW3DA149844
MOT March 2012
Colour Arctic Blue

Offered here is one of those early convertibles, which is said to be complete with a huge history file of bills and invoices, plus a stamped service booklet in support of the warranted 96000 miles.

Finished in Arctic blue with saville grey leather and navy hood, the car is described as being a straight, clean example, which drives exceptionally well. It is also said to benefit from extra torsion bars to alleviate some of the scuttle-shake associated with the early convertibles.

A good example of an XJS convertible, with excellent history, offering outstanding value for money.

Estimate £3,000-4,000

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
