The example offered, one of 2’915 left hand drive XJ-SCs with a V12 engine is a Swiss delivery and was handed over to the lucky first owner on the 9th of August 1985 by Garage Cencini C. in Lugano. The service booklet and the emission control document would indicate that the XJ-SC, after a change of ownership in 1994, was taken over by the last registered owner most probably in 1999, with then just about 90’000 kilometres covered. In March 2007, with around 96’500 kilometres, the Jaguar was de-registered and dry stored. 18 years later, with apparently only three owners, 97’900 kilometres driven and a service booklet, the rare Jaguar now presents itself in good to very good original condition and drives as it should. Not too long ago, tyres, brake callipers and brake pads have been replaced. Due to the long period of inactivity a service and a thorough check would certainly be indicated in preparation for a new MOT. The last MOT on record was completed in June 2003.
