gumtree.com.au website in Australia on April 28, 2017. Now asking AUD $ 10,000 with 171,000 kilometers.
This Jaguar is an awesome buy for someone who wants a solid car to turn into a big classic. This car has had two owners from new. A meticulous old engineer who bought it new for 80K in Sydney in 1987, and lived in Sutton, and then me. So unlike other Jags it's rust free and very sound. This car has driven 171,000 genuine KMs since new, representing an average of approx 5000 kms a year. The car runs beautifully, however due to my job taking me away for very long stints I haven't been able to drive it so it has run out of registration (6 months). It needs some TLC but nothing big - I can show you the list of jobs required for rego. Cosmetically it's a 31 year old car that has been regularly driven so it needs a new paint job. Also some nasty hooligan decided to run a knife through the roof canvas while it was parked in Manuka so it needs a new cover. The interior is Connolly leather with some minor 30 year wear and tear. Mechanically it needs some minor work done before it will pass for ACT registration. This car has been meticulously maintained first by Dunster Brother Jaguar and then Amik Brothers Jaguar. So if you are after a rare classic (there were only 55 imported of this model), to turn into a classic with minimal investment, then this is a lot of car priced to sell. The V-12 engine is something to behold, as is the fuel gauge, but that's the price of not driving a Prius.
