Sellers description:
This 1989 XJS-C 5.3 V12 Cabriolet is in excellent shape, with only 4 owners and under 25,000 miles on the clock. KWE are selling on behalf of a customer who has kept the car serviced regularly (every 2000 - 5000 miles at least), the car has had some work done by us less than 3000 miles ago, this included new brake discs, steering rack bushes and cavity wax to protect from rusting.
The bodywork is rust free and the paintwork is in great condition for it's age. Interior leather, carpet and wood veneers are also in good condition, no tears, fading or cracking. The car drives beautifully and sounds fantastic just as a V12 should. This XJS Cabriolet is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner, everything working as it should, very reliable and doesn't fail to turn heads.

Lot 104
1989 Jaguar XJ-SC V12
Estimate: £15,000-17,000
Showing just 25,356 miles this looks to be one for the collector; rear seats fitted; considerable history file
Supplied new in July 1989 this super example of the XJ-SC HE is finished in glorious Bordeaux Red with Doeskin interior and black Mohair roof with lift-out panels.
Showing just 25,356 miles, this lovely model features the proven 5.3 V12 engine mated to 3-speed automatic transmission. Inside we find trip computer, wood trim and smart doeskin leather/leatherette interior with matching carpets with soft lambswool over mats for added luxury – very cosy. In addition, this model features heated front seats with electric lumbar adjustment, cruise control, electric windows, modern DAB radio and retro-fit rear seats to increase the usability/practicality of the car.
Within the considerable history file, we find the V5C showing 5 previous owners to our current of two years and useful summary of the car which details what comes with the car and some features including a hidden ‘kill switch/immobiliser’ in the centre console, original radio present in the boot, full tool kit, soft-top in its bag should you wish to remove the Targa top in full and fitting tools, full car cover and Tonneau cover.
In addition, we have the owner’s manual and stamped service book with 9 stamps, the last in 2015 at 23,725 miles, Heritage certificate, audio Cassette owners guide, spare key and alarm fob, assorted KWE (marque specialist) literature, copy old V5Cs and ownership history, 22 old MOTs dating back to 1996, photos of the car and assorted routine maintenance invoices dating back to 1997. The vendor assures us that the car is unmolested and original, with no welding ever having been carried out.
Works of note carried out include replacement of the rear shocks and bonnet stays in 2005 at 18,854 miles, a replacement fuel tank in 2009, 2 new brake callipers and brake fluid change in 2017, new alternator in 2018, renewed headlining on both Targa panels, repair leaking valve stem seal and re-gas A/C at 24,115 miles at a cost of £2,089 in January 2018 and a further £1584 spend earlier this year on fuel tank works.
Ready to be enjoyed with a recent MOT valid until February 2022 with no advisories, the car is aching to be used and enjoyed having seen such limited use. It was however driven to us from Birmingham without a hitch which bodes well for the lucky new owner.
