For Sale March 14, 2017 on carsales.com Australia. Asking AUD $ 24,000 with 199,140 kilometers.
1986 Jaguar XJ-SC Auto. For Sale is my 1986 Jaguar XJ-SC which I have owned since 2001. The V-12 XJ-SC model is now increasing in value as they are becoming more and more rare as time takes its toll. My Jaguar has been mechanically pampered - there is a whole file of mechanical work which has been undertaken whilst I have owned the car which can be viewed by interested parties. The ECU has been changed and a Motec M84 is now in place. The transmission has been recently serviced. The cooling system has been recently serviced and a stainless steel header tank has been fitted in the last 12 months. The engine has recently been out which means that the main oil seal, which is the major source of oil leaks on these cars has been recently renewed. I have just completed the renewal of the fuel injector hoses (blue painted fuel rail). A new Blue roof was fitted. The car now sits on Historic Plates as it is more than 30 years old and only ever used on weekends. Historic Registration is non-transferrable. After 16 years of ownership it is now time for a new owner to enjoy this fantastic car. The original 15" Lattice Wheels as shown in picture 4 are available too.

An original Australian delivered XJ-SC, this well-presented car was originally supplied by Graeme Furness Pymble Prestige Cars to a Sydney customer on April 24, 1986 and has evidently been a local car ever since. Clearly a properly maintained example, the service book is stamped until 1998 and there are extensive receipts dating back to 2004, with notable work carried out since, including the installation of a new soft top, rebuilding the motor and injectors in 2010 at a cost in excess of $12,000, fitting a set of Starcorp alloy rims in 2011 and repairing the radiator in 2012. A new Motec M84 ECU control unit and associated parts were fitted in 2013 at a cost of $6,000. The current Sydney owner purchased the Jaguar three years ago and continued improving the car – the duco was getting a little tired by this stage so the XJ-SC was resprayed in the original colour and the cosmetics generally tidied up with new seals, rubbers and various trim items (invoices for over $15,000 on file) in 2017, along with sorting the electrics (including cruise control), getting the air conditioning working and a new radiator fan and hoses. Other work included installing a special high output alternator and fitting a Moto-Lita steering wheel. Now showing approximately 207,000 kms on the clock, the Jaguar runs and drives really well and would make a fantastic club car, ideal for weekend runs. Currently registered on non-transferable historic plates in NSW, the car will be sold unregistered and comes with the original books and history file supplied, along with the factory wheels and steering wheel. The XJ-S represents excellent value for money and most pundits agree prices can only increase for good specimens – while ownership brings great rewards.

Car has been off the road since February 2007. Awaiting the funding to purchase a replacement V12 engine as the original has expired and is too expensive to repair.
