The original owner of this example of the Lynx Spider registered the car in his company name then later in his own name until he passed the car to his son in 2004. The car was purchased by the current owner last year and extensive work has been done to repair the air-conditioning which, according to the previous owner, had never worked very efficiently. This was confirmed by the engineer who discovered that the vacuum pipe has never been connected from new! It is now said to work perfectly.

The service book has 17 main dealer stamps and one from Lynx Motors International Ltd (for service costing £3,981 in 2001), at yearly intervals from new until 2004 when the car passed to the original owners's son from which time Rectory Classics have carried out all servicing, again at yearly intervals with seven stamps in the service book, the last stamp being dated April 2012 but a receipt from Rectory Classics indicates that the last service was 13th October 2013. The total recorded mileage is a mere 13,500 miles from new, which is warranted, by the vendor, as being correct.

The car comes with extensive documentation including the owners manual, original purchase invoice (£26,790) almost all of the service invoices, MOT certificates and the original Lynx Brochure detailing the conversion options available at the time with price lists. The Lynx Spider conversion cost an additional £8,752 plus a further £1,500 for the four seat conversion. It is believed that the Lynx body kit and wheels cost a further £1,500 which make this car unique.
