For Sale on eBay UK on March 15, 2015. Asking UKL 2,500 with 65,000 miles.

1986 Jaguar XJS Cabriolet 5.3 V-12 with 65,000 miles. Only 3 Previous Owners. Bought as a project but now other commitments are not allowing me the time to work on it as I hoped or do what it deserves. Would be quite an easy job for an enthusiast who would end up with a very clean example of a rare model (in this condition). Lots of small tasks rather than anything major. Ran very smoothly last time I started it but needs a new battery and is not currently MOT'd so the buyer would need to arrange transportation. I have a full new set of HT leads for it as the mice have had a go at the set on it. Fuel gauge is not working but have a new sender unit to be fitted. Bought with a lot of damp, mold and even mushrooms inside so have a full new set of carpets, some bits are fitted and new headlining. The seats have been fully restored and look like new now. Would need a new windscreen seal. The car comes with both the convertible rear section and a hardtop, with original box! The hardtop is fitted currently and the convertible top needs attention as was moldy when I bought the car. The body work is very good for its age, does need the rear quarter on the driver side to be replaced, I have the replacement panel but have not fitted it yet. Then just needs some small spots of paintwork correction, but it will polish up well on almost the entire car. Wheels need to be refurbished, I do have a new wheel and tyre with it but the rest will need work, tyres have plenty of tread left. I imagine the brakes will need attention as it's been sat for a few years but has been started regularly. New Hirschmann antenna fitted but not working, needs some investigation, may be a fuse or loose connection somewhere. The car comes with numerous new parts to be fitted and a folder full of documents, it's a really good example of a cabriolet, has a fully sealed underneath and is in generally very good condition compared to many others of the age. I'm sorry to have to part with it but I'm really not getting the chance to put the time in that it deserves. High quality breathable car cover, and a full size under car drip tray included with the car. VIN is SAJJNACW3CC127432, and some additional info, first registered 10/03/1986, engine number 8S038943HA. I actually have a copy of an XJ-SC Register compiled by JW Bleasdale, from the drivers area club 58 (Humberside). There's loads of receipts and documents with the vehicle. Last Known Owner was a Mr Braithwaite from UK, Surrey.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
