Jaguar XJS V12 HE Cabriolet 1985. £ 11, 500. A unique production model in the history of Jaguar with its ‘targa’ style roof which is considered by some enthusiasts to be a more adaptable alternative to the full convertible. With a permanent strengthening roof bar which is not unattractive, this offers increased rigidity and protection from the elements- one or both roof panels are detachable to provide an individual choice of fresh air motoring or enclosed to driver and passenger- the back hood folding hood section also folds independently. It is a shame that manufacture spanned just three of the XJS’s total of twenty one years on the line as the cars have earned a loyal following. We have supplied and serviced this particular example for most of the time since the mid 1990’s, so it’s history is known. It is well travelled having toured France extensively and spent some years in Southern Spain; recently the car returned from a year in Vienna where the previous owner has a home. The mileage is genuine at 43,000 since new and this is very well documented. Finished in Regent Grey with Saville Grey hide, this is a beautifully cared for and much loved XJS which we have always been happy to recommend.
