Current Owner is Paul Roper who joined the new XJS Soft Tops site on January 01, 2017 and had also joined the old ICR site on August 31, 2016. He purchased the car from Queensland and has had it shipped to Adelaide. Here is a link to a video on YouTube featureing the car in a 1980's UK TV show www.youtube.com/watch. Previously found For Sale by Bleasie on the eBay Australia website on August 24, 2016. Sold for AUD $ 5,000 with 107,000 miles. Location given was Australia, Queensland, Kooralbyn. Was last seen For Sale in the UK but was since sold and imported to Australia. Current listing says "Jaguar XJ-SC Cabriolet Convertible. This is a privately imported 1985 XJ-SC V-12 Cabriolet. I'm afraid I don't have much info on this car so we will both have to treat it as "what you see is what you get". If more photo's are required ask me where to point the camera and I'll get them to you. For the most part the trim and interior is real nice but the seats are hard and dried out. The roof and the removable 'T' tops are in great condition. The chrome and stainless is nice and it has a set of keys. I have recently bought it to wreck it for the engine (that's my game) but the rust I expected to find is not there. Being an import we do have to expect some and there is, but there is nothing structural. There is not a lot in one spot but there are several spots that have a little...so as suggested, it has to be treated as a project that even a backyarder or handyman can repair. If you always wanted a Cabriolet or Convertible and you want to use that V-8 that's been under the bench forever here's your chance. The speedo is still in miles and reads 107,000. The engine and transmissions condition however will remain unknown but safe to say its probably ok because the previous owner has either taken off the exhaust manifolds or instructed someone to do so to rid him of the obvious gasket leaks. New parts are in the boot. The wheels are aftermarket 15x7 hotwire look-a-likes with 215/70 Pirelli tyres that will be border line roadworthy. The left headlight glass has come apart from its backing but the glass has survived. The paint for the most part as you can see is ok but by the time you see to the repairs required the whole car will or should be painted. The car will be advertised and sold as you see it and as I have described it above. The highest bidder wins and if you don't want the motor I will take it out and refund you $ 1000, you can keep the Turbo 400 Auto. That will make for a very cheap project convertible..so go on..push the button. Freight to anywhere in the country is no problem. I just need your postcode to quote you. It's a door to door, or to depot depending on you, service. The comforting thing here is there is no risk of theft or damage. Any and all questions shall be answered promptly..........Oh ! GST is included in the total". Ex Graham Carroll of UK, Devon, Barnstaple. Previously found For Sale by Bryan on the ClassicCarsForSale.co.uk website on September 19, 2013 by the same Seller. Now asking EUR 7,656, or UKL 6,500, or USD $ 9,846 with 107,000 miles. Listing says "For sale my beautiful "Carmen", I have owned her for 10 years. Full tax and MOT. She is famous and has appeared in the movies being filmed at Pinewood Studios for SKY TV's retro series of Dream Team. She is not in showroom condition but has been driven as a second car only clocking up 500 miles last year. She has had 12 new spak plugs and a distributor cap plus battery in last year. The paintwork has some pimples around the petrol filling cap and there are some scratches, touched up on the bonnet. There are a couple of rust bubbles around the XJ-SC badge on the boot, and the lacquer is flaking on a couple of places on the rear nearside wing as you would expect with age. She looks the business with her roof down and has grey leather seats. She is dry stored in Barnstaple in Devon. Call Graham on 07867367140". Previously found For Sale by Steve on the ClassicCarsForSale.co.uk website on March 13, 2012. Asking EUR 12,000, or UKL 10,084, or USD $ 15,832 with 88,000 miles. Listing says "Carmen is a very special Jaguar XJ-SC, V-12, 5.3 litre in Metallic Burgundy with Grey leather seats and walnut trim and a black hood with 2 drop in panels. She is famous and appeared in the TV series "Dream Team" on SKY TV. She is currently garaged in Torreviejca, Spain. Still taxed in the UK, but the car is now For Sale in Spain". Last known Owner was Graham Carroll, of UK, Devonshire, Devon (Previously UK, North West, Merseyside when last for sale). Previously found For Sale by Bryan on ClassicCarsForSale.co.uk website in October of 2009. Asking UKL 8,500 with 88,000 miles. Car was originally Regent Grey but has been re-sprayed a Burgandy/Claret Red color. Had also been for sale at Coys Auctions of Kensington. 10 previous owners. Owner phoned Bleasie in December of 2009 and said he owns the car now.
