    Auction description:

    Description Jaguar XJS-C Cabriolet
    Registration E663 WOL
    Year 1987
    Colour Silver
    Engine size 5,343 cc
    Chassis No. SAJJNACW3CA142123

Dating from 1987, this particular car has been kept as part of a small private collection of Jaguars and has been in the current ownership for the last five years. Always kept garaged and used in fine weather only, it has covered just 50,300 miles from new and is said to drive beautifully. Serviced annually and regularly valeted and waxoiled, it appears to be in fine condition overall and has an alarm immobilizer fitted. With an MOT until September and taxed until August, it is ready to drive away today.

Please note the private plate shown will be replaced by an age-related plate prior to the sale

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
