For Sale on eBay UK on May 31, 2013. Has 103,000 miles and has had 4 Previous Owners. Current bid is UKL 963 with no Reserve Price.
On offer here today, we have a 1986 JAGUAR XJ-SC, 3.6, Green, Cabriolet Targa that was sourced from a very nice elderly gentleman from Oxfordshire who has owned this car for a number of years. It was registered in 1986. These cars are now very rare and sort after. One recently sold in Belgium for 18,000 Euros. The car has been in storage for a number of years, it is extremely original and does not appear to have ever been painted. The front wings at the bottom near the doors appear to have popped out slightly, the doors, the bonnet and the boot lid are corrosion free. The offside sill appears to be in good condition, the nearside sill at the rear has some corrosion. There is also some corrosion along the top edge of the rear bumper on both sides and around the rear lights. The panels under the rear bumper have some corrosion, the boot floor appears to be good. We have not had the car on a ramp so have not inspected the underside although from the inside the floor, inner sills etc. all appear to be in good. The grey primer you see in the pictures was sprayed on from an aerosol can from the previous owner. The car starts on the button, the engine sounds strong and quiet. The transmission and clutch all work as they should. The car has beige half leather/cloth interior and Biscuit carpet all of which are in excellent condition for a car of this age. The hood is in good condition, the head lining from the targa panels was sagging and has been removed. The car has many previous MOT's and an original Jaguar service book with many stamps to prove its low mileage of 103,000. To sum this car up, mechanically the car is sound but will need general servicing and recomissioning. The body work will need some restoration and a respray. The interior will benefit from cleaning, the road wheels will need refurbishing due to peeling lacquer. This car will need transporting away due to no MOT, Road Tax and restoration work.
