Car to be at auction 10/17
www.barons-auctions.com/auction_details.php

Auction description:
1985 Jaguar XJ-SC
Lot 153
First Registered: 1985
Registration No: C951 MJH
Mileometer:62,591
Chassis No: SAJJNACC7CC124825
MOT: July 2018
Colour: White

This XJ-SC forms part of a private collection of Jaguars and other cars. It was purchased by it's second owner in May 1986 when it was 6 months old from Julians of Reading. It remained in his ownership for 29 years until the present owner bought the car in November 2015. It has a good Service History with 4 Jaguar stamps up until 1990, then Serviced by the owners themselves. The mileage is warranted to be genuine. The condition is excellent with the paintwork being in exceptional condition, as is the engine bay and underside. The interior is in lovely condition with only the driver's seat showing slight patina.

The only point to note is that the original rear window would benefit from being replaced as it is no longer transparent. The car drives very well with a very smooth ride from the classic Jaguar suspension. All four tyres were replaced in May 2016 to enable a pass certificate for it's MOT. The original Service Book and Handbook Pack are present. The alloy wheels are also in very good condition.

Guide Price: £8,000 to £10,000

Lovely 1985 XJ-SC 3.6 Mnual up for sale shortly. It has covered only 65,000 miles from new, I am the 3rd owner. It is an original unrestored car, no rot in the floors, sills, boot floor. Never welded. Fantastic condition and gets lots of positive comments at the shows I've taken it to.

Asking £8,900 or near offer.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
