Auction description:

1978 Jaguar XJ-S V12 Pre-HE Manual Coupé
Registration Number XEL 974S
MOT Expiry Exempt
Chassis Number 2W4497
Engine Number 10468
Transmission Manual
Body Colour Squadron Blue
A very smart, UK-supplied, early production, manual gearbox car with an outstanding history file.
Rare and desirable, early production, manual gearbox pre-HE car
Delightfully finished in Squadron Blue with a smart Biscuit interior
Outstanding history file including older MOTs, Jaguar Heritage Certificate, invoices for maintenance, service records dating back to 1978, a parts catalogue and an original XJ-S brochure
A UK-delivered car that spent a few years in Nenagh, Ireland, but now back on UK plates
A lovely usable classic which would now benefit from some light recommissioning work, with a focus on the headlining/interior
The perfect candidate for ‘tinkering’ with over the winter, ready for continental cruising or HERO rallies
