This car was kept by its one lady owner at her W8 Kensington address until 2000,when it had covered only 10,000 miles from new. It has been in the hands of three careful collectors since; in their ownership it shared garage space with far more exotic and valuable machinery, but was lavished with the same levels of care and attention.
We purchased the car at auction, where the car had no less than fourteen telephone bidders vying to own it! The car was super-original and superb generally when we got it. It had already been a concours entrant, but we undertook works such as replacing the rear valance on the bodywork to bring the car up to as close to rust-free condition as an un-restored Jaguar of this era can possibly be. This work is recorded with photographs.
The air-conditioned original interior is still a very pleasant and immaculate place to be; it would be difficult to imagine how it could be made better.
Freshly serviced and finished in a great period colour combination of Squadron Blue with Biscuit Connolly leather, this car is 1970's chic at its best without spending a fortune. Complete with its original book pack, even in the current uncertain market it is a source of great pleasure and highly unlikely to go down in value.
