Ebay item 6/11/21
www.ebay.com/itm/373610823151
Opening bid US $14,925 reserve not met 0 bids, 4 days left in auction, seller stlouiscarmuseum, 40k miles.

Seller's description:
We are very proud to present this 1989 Jaguar XJ-S Coupe! Finished in beautiful Solent Blue Metallic exterior with Barley tan soft leather upholstery! Under the hood of the XJ-S purrs the mighty 5.3L V-12 engine producing 263 horsepower mated to an automatic transmission, and a grand touring gear ratio of 2.88:1 with a limited slip differential. Special features included polished burl walnut wood fascia on the dash fascia, center control panel, & door rails; leather wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, 15" diamond spoke light alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P600 tires, Teves anti-lock brakes, automatic seatbelt retractors, driver side airbag, power windows, heated seats with power lumber support, remote power mirrors, AM/FM/Cassette stereo system with Sony disc changer, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, automatic climate control, full dash instrumentation, onboard trip computer, and much more!

This example comes to us with only 40,332 original miles showing on the odometer! With only 1 owner from new, this garage kept XJ-S remains in very good condition throughout! It sold new from Moore Jaguar in Manchester, MO and was driven to the family's Manhattan, NY apartment for much of its life. Used annually less than 1,500 miles for short trips outside of the city, it was otherwise parked inside a private apartment garage under a storage cover when not in use. It was always serviced each year by Jaguar-Land Rover of Manhattan with all recommended services completed. This included regular fluid & filter changes, tires balanced, a/c service, and more recently had new belts & radiator hoses replaced in 2017. New hood struts and a new battery were installed in May 2021. It remains in excellent, original condition otherwise!

Included with this special Jaguar is the original owner's manual & books, 2 sets of keys, original cassette head cleaning kit, factory paint touch up pencil kit, emergency seatbelt releases, matching spare tire with original cover, jack & storage bag, lug nut wrench, fog light covers, storage car cover, Battery Tender, and CD changer remote. The car was fitted with an accessory cell phone in the armrest by Jaguar when new. The original armrest is included with the sale should a future owner wish to remove it. It has never had any paintwork or accident history, although it should be noted that both doors show slight wear in the finish from contact with other car doors. Primarily on the passenger door. All of the factory VIN body panel stickers remain present. And having never been out in inclement weather, the under hood and undercarriage presentations continue to look quite remarkable!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
