Ebay item 7/11/23
Car has a buy it now price of $16,900 for 29 days, seller starart56, car in Smithtown, New York, 94k miles
Seller's description:
This rare XJS Coupe is in exceptional condition. It recently received a judged score of 986.7 out of 1,000 at the Jaguar Drivers' Club of Long Island 2002 Concourse d'Elegance at the Vanderbilt Museum on Long Island. It also received a first place award in the Driven Class.
I purchased it from a gentleman in Connecticut who was a judge and an official in the New England Jaguar Drivers' Club. He owned and showed the car for about 15 years and he gave me reams of detailed information on the maintenance and show history of the car.
I have owned the XJS for 1 1/2 years. It is the third Jaguar that I have owned but have always had my eye on an XKR and recently found one near home, so the XJS must go. I have had the car maintained by a master technician from a local Jaguar dealer. Work on the car under my ownership includes replacement of the head gasket, oil and transmission fluid change and replacement of the front seat leather. I also put in a new Blaupunkt stereo with Bluetooth. It looks very much like the original unit that did not work but comes with the car as well as four new tires.
The car has 95,000 miles but has been meticulously maintained. It has the very reliable 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine. It looks and runs great with no squeaks, rattles or leaks. Everything works as it should. The A/C blows cold and there are no warning lights on except the Bulb Out light (but I can't find a light that is actually out). Both exterior and interior are in exceptional condition. You would be as hard pressed to find defects as the judges at the Concourse were.
A fine example of what is truly becoming a classic.
