Ebay item 1/19/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1990-Jaguar-XJS/123601118713
Current bid: $3,000, no reserve, 23 bids 6 days left in auction, seller americaspackardmuseum, 85k miles.

Seller's description:
This 1990 Jaguar XJS V12 was the very few recipients of the Keisler 5-speed transmission swap, utilizing a 5-speed Tremec transmission. The rare Keisler manual transmission conversions are quite well respected, and are known for the quality of their engineering and workmanship. It really changed the entire driving experience of the car for the better, and substantially increased the smile factor! The convertible top operates well, with a new top motor just last month. I personally drove the car from Amelia Island, FL to Dayton, OH a few years ago, and encountered no problems at all. The vehicle has since been on exhibit at the British Transportation Museum. The fuel tank had been drained, and has now been refilled with ethanol-free 91 octane gasoline. The tires, while appearing serviceable, were dated 2007, and replaced with new Michelin tires earlier this week to ensure the safely of the next caretaker of this wonderful car. Included in the sale will be service records from the previous owner of the vehicle, detailing some $17,000 in repairs and preventive maintenance during his stewardship.

Small world. I am about to purchase the same Jag in Czech Rep. Would it be possible to find from somebody more info, as how many owners it had and what was the winning bid on e-bay? Love to know all history about the car before I pay the asking price and add it to my collections of other Jags.

Thanks.

Jerry

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
