Ebay item 8/18/20
www.ebay.com/itm/1993-Jaguar-XJS/264836673446
Buy it now price $26,500 for 6 days, seller bigjanski, 53k miles.

Seller's description:
EXTREMELY RARE and sought after FACTORY 5 SPEED 4.0 6 cylinder XJS. Untouched and unmolested and very original. Why is this extremely rare? According to Fred Hammond, Archivist Jaguar North America Archives, they only sent around (50) 1993 AJ6 5-Speeds to the U.S. I’m still waiting for actual numbers as COVID has prevented him from accessing archived documents in the office. As there were nine official colors for 1993, this Signal Red XJS is thought to be 1 of 5 ever sold by Jaguar U.S.A. It’s also the one and only year the manual transmission cars were imported without the plastic underneath the bumpers. It is a 2 seater and not the 2+2. This car checks all the boxes and is a solid blue chip investment that is only rising. One owner car from new.Vehicle HistoryOn March 17th, 1993, this car was leased and then sold to the first and only owner of the car. The owner moved the registration from Connecticut to Vero Beach Florida in 2006 and registered the car there. The owner then re-registered the car back in Connecticut I think sometime in 2007. If anyone wants to run a Carfax, they can see the times more clearly. The car was registered to his business and eventually put into his name. I have all documentation verifying the same person owned this car from new. 100% Original paint and body panels (still has factory VIN stickers on panels). Rust free. Car runs and drives smooth as butter.Title Status This car was last registered in Connecticut but the registration is not current. Connecticut does not issue new titles for cars of this age. I will provide the bill of sale that was signed by the original owner. I also have the (signed) Florida title. I’m assuming Connecticut did not require it to register the car as it was the same owner re-registering the car in Connecticut. Recent Maintenance ($2,200) Brand new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing. ($1,400 cost), A/C drained and recharged, blows ice cold. Handbrake cable ($700), Fully Synthetic Mobil 1 oil/filter. After Market Stereo. Original radio will be included. MiscellaneousThis car is 27 years old and has typical wear for its age with scratches, chips, dings, etc. It is not a trailer queen, but it’s really nice. The convertible top had split repair in the right rear corner as seen in the pictures, but it’s still the original top. The antenna does not go up. I tried to be as honest as possible and state my opinions, but opinions vary from person to person so inspections are welcome and encouraged.

Private Party or Dealer: Private Party

This 1993 Jaguar XJS was sold new from Thomas Cadillac Jaguar in Hartford, Connecticut and was reportedly acquired by the seller from the original owner. Finished in red over a black interior, the car is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and features a black soft top with a heated glass rear window, fog lights, basketweave wheels, leather seating, A/C, an aftermarket Kenwood sound system, and power-operated windows, seats, and door locks. Work in the last 50 miles is said to include a replacement clutch, an A/C service, and an oil change. This XJS shows just under 54k miles and is offered with factory manuals, partial service records, a boot cover, a clean Carfax report, and Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.

The exterior is finished in Signal Red (748) and features a black soft top with a heated glass rear window, fog lights, a trunk-mounted third brake light, factory tinted wrap-around taillights, and dual exhaust outlets. A split on the right rear corner of the soft top has reportedly been repaired, and other noted flaws include a misaligned hood, an inoperable antenna, and various chips and dings around the body.

Silver-finished 15″ basketweave wheels wear Pirelli P600 tires.

The interior features black leather seating, gray carpeting and mats, and wood grain inserts on the dash, door panels, and console. Amenities include cruise control, A/C, an aftermarket Kenwood stereo, power-adjustable seats, and electric windows and door locks.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,700-rpm redline. The odometer shows just under 54k miles, only a handful of which were added during current ownership.

The 4.0-liter AJ6 inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The seller states that the clutch, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing were replaced in the last 50 miles, along with an A/C service and oil change.

The September 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registrations and history in Connecticut and Florida.

Opening bid US $16,501.00 Reserve price not met 0 bids 9 days left in auction buy it now price $24,500 seller jpfrazier4211 car now said to be in Lebanon, Tennessee, 53k miles.

Seller's description:

This is one of the very rare Factory 5 speed manual transmission six cylinder XJS convertibles that was produced in 1993.The car is a two owner car with good services performed by the Jaguar franchise store.

The car has a clean Carfax that reflects the services performed.

The car has never suffered from an accident history or theft or flood. This example is unmolested, rare and an entirely different experience to drive then the lovely cruiser automatic.

If you have never experienced the wonderful balance of a 5 speed manual car with 4.0 6 cyl car you are in for a treat. The transmission completely changes the character of the car.
