This 1988 Jaguar XJS features a convertible conversion performed by Ohio-based coachbuilder Hess & Eisenhardt and has remained registered in California where it was purchased by the seller from the reported original owner in July 2020. The car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in white over beige leather. Equipment includes 15″ wire wheels, a beige convertible top, a factory cassette stereo, and an installed car phone. This XJS V12 shows 5k miles and is offered with factory literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in white with a beige convertible top and matching boot cover. Features include chrome trim and mirror caps, Hess & Eisenhardt badges behind both front wheels, fog lights, and dual exhaust outlets.
Wire 15″ wheels with faux-knock-offs are mounted with 215/70 Pirelli P4 Four Seasons Plus tires with 2018 and 2019 date codes. The seller states that the front struts have been replaced.
The cabin features beige upholstery joined by walnut trim on the dashboard and center console. Amenities include a factory cassette stereo, power windows, power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, and an installed car phone.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows just over 5k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 263 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. Maintenance under current ownership is said to have included replacement of the fuel filter. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
