This 1986 Jaguar XJ-SC V12 was sold new by Regency Motors in Montclair, New Jersey, and is said to have remained with the original owner until 2015. The seller purchased it from the original owner’s family in 2022 after the car spent time in Connecticut and New York. Finished in black over Buckskin leather, the car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a beige soft top, removable roof panels, replacement 15″ wire-spoke wheels, power-adjustable seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, automatic climate control, and wood trim. This XJ-SC V12 shows 21k miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The car ifeatures a beige fabric soft top with removable roof panels. Additional exterior details include quad headlights, fog lights, chrome side mirror caps, a power antenna, “XJ-SC” and “V12” badging, and dual exhaust outlets. The soft top was replaced in 2015.

The 15″ wire-spoke wheels feature knock-off spinners and were installed in 2016 along with 215/70 Michelin Defender tires. A covered spare is mounted in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs, and the front and rear brake pads and rotors were replaced in 2015.

The power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Buckskin leather, and burl wood veneer accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes cruise control, automatic climate control, Jaguar-branded floor mats, and a cassette stereo.

The three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 21k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V12 was factory rated at 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The valve cover gaskets, intake gasket, distributor cap, spark plugs, and ignition wires were replaced in 2015. Service performed in preparation for the sale included recharging the air conditioning, replacing the oil pan gasket, and performing an oil change.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The transmission seals were replaced in 2012.
