Auction description:
Lot number 85
Hammer value £5250
Description Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible
Registration G560 KWE
Year 1989
Colour Arctic Blue
Engine size 5,293 cc
Chassis No. SAJJNADW3DB167020
Engine No. 85072473SB

First registered in November 1989, this Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible has covered just 47,000 miles from new and has a full service history with no less than 15 stamps to date (all but one from Jaguar main agents), giving an average service interval of just over 3,000 miles. Looking particularly fetching in Arctic Blue with Doeskin hide interior, it was last serviced 500 miles ago and is said to drive "very well" and to be in "very good" condition throughout.

The power hood is in good condition and is said to work as it should, and the car has the desirable options of air conditioning, electric heated seats and cruise control. It comes with a file full of bills to show careful maintenance (including one for a new radiator in 2004) and retains all its original handbooks. The MOT is valid until February 2009. Altogether a fantastic low-mileage car to waft around in over the summer.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
