February 15, 2016 on eBay UK. 104,000 miles.
JAGUAR XJ-SC 3.6 MANUAL - ORIGINAL RUST FREE CAR. Selling my pride and joy as we no longer have room for it, and just having had a baby I am not finding the time to enjoy it. The car is exceptional as it stands today, totally original and loved for it's 32 years of life this car requires nothing. Grey on Grey with some age related markings as you'd expect but nothing major. Engine is a peach and ticks over at 550 RPM with good oil pressure throughout the rev range. The exhaust note is sweet and she pulls like a train from no revs. I wish I could keep hold of the car but space, time and the fact she needs a garage in an ideal world to preserve it as it's been accustomed. The car has always been cared for and kept indoors, it was owned by a mining director for the majority of it's life and he took the major move to strip the car's underneath, sills doors, boot etc and get them professionally rust proofed using DYNAXS50. I have included a couple of shots taken under rear suspension, which is notoriously bad on these if not looked after and hope you will be impressed. The car is rare as the early convertible was not able to be completed by Jaguar, instead, coupe production cars were sent up the road to Aston Martin to have the targa roof hand fitted. This one benefits from a new 'pram hood' or to you and me the rear part, which can be left up if you desire when underway without the roof panels inserted. The car has ALL the paperwork with it, inclusive of the factory fitted NEC mobile phone system and premium Alpine stereo, which although two of the speakers need replacing, still has perfect operation including the power ariel. All corresponding paperwork exists with the car, and I think nearly every MOT. Other significant works are, All bushings replaced under car, New clutch cylinder, and extensive spares purchased through Jaguar to keep her going. Far too much else to mention.
